What does it mean to meet another face to face? To risk exposing your underbelly? To choose to become family is to choose to live with vulnerability in the presence of another. In doing so, we create a tender holding space for the fragile and yet precious fragments of life that grace the path on which we travel. As we carefully rearrange our space, making room for another, we are indeed risking everything – in the name of love. And yet we are not the first to attempt this precarious and creative balancing act. Love will always seek to expand… ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, so that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
